Practically every man at some time (or several times) in his life suffers from an accidental blow to his testes. As common as this may be I have never seen a first-aid or medical publication advising how to relieve the distress caused by this mishap. What can be done in case of such an injury?
As you lie writhing on the floor it is helpful to remember that time and/or medication for pain usually suffice to relieve the distress caused by a swift kick.
Occasionally real damage may be done to the testicles, so if you have any doubt seek medical attention immediately.

Several men who have been bedridden in hospitals have told me that certain ministrations performed on them by a nurse— such as a massage—caused them to have an erection. As described to me, the nurse deals with this problem with something like a judo chop, or flick of the finger which results in detumescence. I would like to know exactly what the nurse has done and how it causes loss of erection. Also, I would appreciate knowing if this action is considered necessary on her part and for what reason. These men told me their reactions ranged from some embarrassment to acute humiliation. What concerns me is that someday I may find myself in the same situation.
Some nurses may likewise be embarrassed by the situation you describe. However, a judo chop or flick of the finger seems an extreme response though it is apparently all too frequent. The detumescence is a reaction to pain and fright, both of which cause blood to leave organs not needed for flight or fight.
Fortunately most nurses would not intentionally do harm to one of their favorite anatomical objects.
